Silk Studio's HD control room was created to be one of the most sophisticated HD suites in Australia.
The Sony MVS 6000 broadcast switcher has powerful features, such as allowing sophisticated multiple layering from a single M/E row, and a multi-function FlexiPad module, where users can simply record operational sequences, then store and assign them to any desired button. A sub switcher is installed as a backup for live programs, the Sony MCS-8M multi-format video switcher with a built-in audio mixer.
The Audio Control room features a Yamaha DM2000 Digital Mixing Console. Combining a leading-edge design philosophy with the latest in digital technology, the DM2000VCM is the world's first sound / music production digital console to receive approval under the globally-recognized THX pm3 surround standard.
The Grandma2 lighting control console can manage any demanding live program, and is designed to handle any combination of lighting fixtures, moving or static, with moving lights as simple to program as conventional lights. With flexible programming and playback options the Grandma2 is well suited to a wide variety of applications.
Offering a spacious and comfortable layout, the control room suite is nestled among other backstage areas such as the make-up room, two dressing rooms,
kitchen and a green room.
The studio is fitted out with HD multi-cameras, Fulmar pedestals, a Jimmy Jib and an EVS 6CH HDDR for HD recording and playback.
